Slimm Buick seems like a bit of an eccentric who boasts on his website that he avoided traditional art school because it might "corrupt his talent", and is a former bike messenger whose work has been in the Gene Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles. A crucial stop if I ever visit there.
