A very rad photo contest has come to light in NYC, brought to light by Bicycle Utopia NYC.

A Portrait of New York Bicyclists” is an open call for photographs and photography-based art that capture the cultural diversity and individual style of New York City's distinctive bicycling community. Launched by Bicycle Utopia, a portion of the entry fee will go to Transportation Alternatives, New York City's oldest and largest bicycle advocacy organization."

Cranksgiving is Tomorrow!!!

Big Red and I are going to do the legendary Cranksgiving Ride tomorrow!

Deadly Nightshades in NYC

So far Cat and I have taken over NYC with a storm of seafoam glitter.

It's been like a combination of this:

Last night we went to a Chrome Party at their rad rad store after visiting both Kaight Boutique for a Prairie Underground trunk show and then the Polo Pit.

Nightshades Throwback - BFF 2008

This was the after-after party of our first Bicycle Film Festival in 2008. Brendt Barbur, (the guy who started the festival) stayed at Aubrey's old apartment building in Chinatown. We had such a fun time that year. There was a fire door with a ladder in the building that lead out to the roof, so we decided to head up there after the movies were over. Cat lit fireworks, and Niamh dropped teapot off the roof by accident. Now that we're heading to NYC with our first actual film in the festival (and art in the art show!) it's fun to look at BFF pics from back in the day.
